The County Planning Commission is updating its Comprehensive Plan, which was created in 1999 and reviewed in 2004. The Dorchester County Comprehensive Plan is a VISION for the County and a set of long-range policies to make that vision a reality. This democratic process gives you direct access to County officials and input into local governance.

The County is projected to grow by more than 40,000 people in the next 23 years (according to the State Budget and Control Board). Where will these people live? How will this growth occur? What will their communities look like? How will this affect YOUR community?
