The Community
Development Department helps municipalities and counties obtain state
and federal funding for a variety of community-oriented projects, from
housing improvements to the creation of parks and playgrounds.
The Information
Resources Department analyzes
census data,
maps demographics using geographic information systems and studies growth
patterns throughout the region in an effort to help local planners prepare
for and manage that growth.
The Economic
Development Department helps obtain funding through federal programs and
it's own revolving loan fund for starting, expanding,
and striving businesses whose projects will create or retain jobs.
